Day 1 Beijing Arrival

Upon arriving in Beijing capital airport, you will be greeted and met by the local tour guide and transferred to your hotel, whenever your flight arrives in Beijing. The guide will help you with hotel check in.

Day 2 Beijing

Start the Great Wall adventure today. Drive to Mutianyu Great Wall, which is more popular among foreign visitors. Upon arrival, you can choose to hike on the Great Wall, or take cable car up and walk around. Have lunch at the nearby restaurant before back to Beijing downtown. One the way, visit the exterior Bird Nest and Water Cube, the amazing architectures that built for Beijing Olympic Games. Experience Chinese tea at a tea house before back to hotel.

Day 3Beijing-Urumqi

Our guide will meet you up at the hotel lobby in the morning. Have a stop at Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world; then walk to today’s highlight Forbidden City, the largest and most complete ancient imperial palace in the world. Climb to the top of Coal hill in Jingshan Park for a nice panoramic view of the Forbidden City.
A leisure trip to Temple of Heaven is arranged for you in the afternoon. It was used to pray for harvest by the emperors. Take night flight for Urumqi.

Day 4Urumqi-Kashgar

Take a driving for 120km northeast to visit the holy Heavenly Lake (Tianchi). The beautiful lake is flanked by rugged pines and cypresses, with clear melting waters reflecting the surrounding of snow capped mount Bogeda. After this visit, be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kashgar.

Day 5Kashgar

Take a tour through the Karakurum Highway to Karakul Lake, enjoy the beautiful snow- capped mountain of Muztagh Ata and the lake. Back to Kashgar downtown in the late afternoon.

Day 6Kashgar-Urumqi

In the morning, take a visit to Zhiren Street, an old street with an amazing hand-made stuff from strictly utilitarian cookware to exotic musical instruments. Then continue your trip to Id Kah Mosque, one of the largest and busiest in China. Then, you can take a short visit to Apak Hoja Tomb. If it is Sunday, the local Bazaar will be a good place for you to have a visit. This ancient market attracts locals and merchants from all over Xinjiang and nearby countries such as Pakistan and Kirghizstan. Take flight back to Urumqi.

Day 7Urumqi-Turpan

In the morning, you will take a 2.5-3hours driving to Turpan that locates in the southeast of Urumqi. You will then visit Jiaohe Ancient City and Karez Well - the underground irrigation system with the history of 2,000 years and Emin Minaret which is the largest extant ancient Islamic tower in Xinjiang on the way. Enjoy your free time for the rest of the day.

Day 8Turpan-Liuyuan (Dunhuang)

Drive for 50 km to Turpan railway station in the morning to take the bullet train (4 hours) to Liuyuan, which also need another 2 hours driving to the downtown of Dunhuang. Have a good rest today after a long train journey.

Day 9Dunhuang

After breakfast, you will firstly have a 3-hour driving to the Yumenguan Pass (30 min) - strategic pass on the ancient Silk Road. And then, continue to experience the amazing Dunhuang Yadan National Geologic Park (1 hour) - the largest one of Yadan Landform found so far. When finish the visit, you will have another 3-hour driving back to the Dunhuang downtown.

Day 10Dunhuang

After a breakfast, you will then take driving to start the exciting excursion to one of the must-see attractions in Dunhuang - Crescent Spring and Singing Sand Dune. In the afternoon, you will start your trip with a visiting to Mogao Grottoes, the site is considered the great treasure house of Buddhist arts in existence.

Day 11Dunhuang-Jiayuguan

Departure from Dunhuang in the early morning, take about 4.5 hours driving (385km) to Jiayuguan City. Upon arriving, you will take a visit to Jiayuguan Pass, which has been praised as 'Mighty Pass No.1 under Heaven'.

Day 12Jiayuguan-Xian

In the morning, visit to Weijin Tomb Mural, the famous Jinwei Tombs, and they were reputed as “world’s largest underground art gallery”. After the tour, be transferred to the airport for your flight to Xian – the most famous ancient capital of China.

Day 13Xian

Hotel pick up in the morning, then drive to Terracotta Warriors which is one of the world's most important archaeological finds, with troops, horses and carriages in battle formation. After lunch and drive back to Xian downtown. Have a visit at Tang Bo Art Museum, where gives you brief history and examples of Chinese art. Continue visit to the Bell tower, the largest bell tower in structure and shape and the best-preserved one in China. Enjoy your shopping time at Muslim Quarter.

Day 14Xian-Shanghai

Have a morning visit to the Ancient City Wall, which represents one of the oldest and best preserved Chinese city walls. Then visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda at the North plaza.
After dumpling banquet lunch, drive to Xian airport. Visit the Hanyang Mausoleum on the way, the largest museum with largest floor space in China. Fly to Shanghai where the airport pick up service is arranged.

Day 15Shanghai

The exploring Shanghai day tour start from a visit Jade Buddha Temple, famous for the seated Buddha, encrusted with jewels. Then have the exterior view of Oriental Pearl TV Tower, while walking on Riverside Promenade Bingjiang Da Dao. The local snack will be arranged as your lunch. After a short breakfast, visit Yuyuan Garden, a Chinese classic garden in city downtown. Spend shopping time at Shanghai Old Street and Nanjing Road, the earliest commercial street in Shanghai. Walk along the Bund, famous for groups of buildings known as "a Gallery of world architecture".

Day 16 Shanghai Departure

Free day at leisure and be transferred to the airport for return flight. We can arrange the Maglev train ride to Pudong airport if you are interested in, or we will drive you directly to the airport.
